Yesterday morning it was FOOOOOGGGGYYYY. Reallly foggy. By the time the fog cleared it was just about time for Ryan to leave for work. He didn’t end up getting home until after dark so no bike ride for me yesterday. I was really bummed. In fact, I was so bummed about the limited chances I have to ride that I went out and got an InStep bike trailer yesterday so I can just take the little monkey with me.
This is pretty exciting. I’m usually looking for a way to get OUT of exercising, not being upset and finding a way to actually do it lol.
So today we had the trailer all hooked up. Hanna had a new helmet to wear, and we set out.
I took a different path than usual because I wanted a little less traffic, and figured I might as well test this trailer out on a couple hills too. We went a little over 5 miles ~ I took a couple short breaks, and we made it back in one piece.
We saw a Grey Heron on the river as we passed over it on the way home, and that was pretty cool.
If it cools off tonight before dark we may very well take another ride ~ been having a hard time keeping Hanna out of the bike trailer. She keeps asking to go for another ride. Good motivation. Now we’re trying to talk hubby into getting a bike so we can take some family rides. That would be fun.
Miles biked: 5.23
Time: around an hour ~ took breaks and stopped to chat with the neighbor
I’m setting a goal to do a 10 mile ride this weekend. I’m going to have Ryan drive me out to the nearest town (which is exactly 10 miles from my driveway) and then ride back. I feel like I can go farther on my daily rides, but I get worried I’m going to go to far and not be able to make it home lol. At least this way I’ll be heading home the whole way.
